1. What is Fort3ss?

Fortr3ss is a biometric security vault that provides extra security to your login credentials through voice authentication system.

2. How to register with app?

It's simple, download the app Fortr3ss from your Google Play Store, follow 3 simple steps

Step 1 of 3 (Sign Up)

Fill up the registration for with the required fields like,

  1. First Name
  2. Last Name
  3. Email ID
  4. Master Password (password of your choice)
  5. Gender (M/F)
  6. Zip Code
  7. Date Of Birth (select from the Calendar icon)
  8. Country Code (from the dropdown list) along with the Phone Number.

Step 2 of 3 (Verify Email) -

Verify the email by entering the 6 digit verification code sent to your email ID or via text message on your mobile.

Step 3 of 3

App will redirect you to Voice Enrolment. Steps given below:

  1. You will have voice enrolment screen.
  2. You have to click on Fortr3ss Mike Icon to start enrolling your voice.
  3. You have to speak the 10 digit numbers shown just below the Mike icon.
  4. You have to speak these 10 digit numbers 3 times and app will let you know if any error comes at same time.
  5. After 3 successful voice samples app will redirect you to login screen.

3. How many ways to login in to app?

You can login to Fortr3ss in 3 ways,

  1. Through the Voice password, only after the system recognizes your voice it will allow the access.
  2. By using your Master Password. Every time you login using master password you will receive a six digit OTP which you require to feed even if you enter your password, for double security.
  3. Or by using Pattern password if offline mode is activated.

4. Is this app single user or multiple user based?

This app is single user based, which means only one registered user per device at a time.

5. What if, I wish to use single ID on multiple devices?

Yes, theUser can register himself and log in with n number of devices.

6. What happens if my mobile is lost?

In case your mobile is lost or stolen, you need not worry about your data. As the password is voice authenticated and no one except you can log into the app.

7. How secure is my data?

Your data is highly secured because the complete Data is encrypted locally and even our technical employees cannot view your personal Data. Only you can login to your account and access the information by using Master Password which only you know.

8. What if, I wish to view my previous activities?

Any time you wish to view your previous activities, you may visit Menu-> Setting-> History. All your previous activities can be viewed along with the IP address, device detail and login time with date.

9. Can I use the app. while travelling?

Yes, You can use the app. while on the move if you do not have an internet connection but that is only if your offline mode is on in settings & defined Pattern to log in to app otherwise you will not be able to use app.

10. Can I use the app. offline?

Yes, the app can be used offline, but make sure your pattern lock is defined and active while you are not in the network zone.

11. What if my voice mismatches at the time of signing in due to any reason?

You can sign in using your Master Password, which you saved at the time of signing up.

12. What if I wish to create my own voice password?

No, you cannot create your own voice password. You will always receive a system generated 10 digit unique password every time you Log in.

13. How do I delete my profile?

For deleting your profile, you must go to settings and select 'Remove device'

14. What if I want to edit my profile details/profile picture?

As soon as you log in to your account, you are taken to your Dashboard. Please follow the below steps

  1. Click on your initials or image if you have already saved one, a form will appear on your screen with your saved details.
  2. Click on the edit icon on the top right corner of your screen. It will allow you to edit the text.
  3. Make required changes.
  4. Save the details by clicking on the Update bar at the bottom of the page.

15. What if I wish to add/edit/delete an app, elaborate in detail?

Case 1

For adding a new app.-follow these simple steps

  1. From the main menu select the App option
  2. Click on the green Plus sign on the right down corner
  3. Select either of the options

Browse

  1. Select Browse to add already existing app in the mobile.
  2. Scroll the list and select the desired app.
  3. Fill up the form with the required details like,
    1. App. Name (You can also rename the app if you wish)
    2. Select App. Category.
    3. User name.
    4. Password.
    5. Tick the box -Manage thru Fortr3ss (to allow Fortr3ss to provide 1st layer of authentication while accessing the app outside the Fortr3ss).
  4. Tick the box for fort3ss to provide the first layer authentication when accessing the app outside the Fort3ss.
  5. If the use of the app is frequent, don't forget to mark it as favourite by clicking on the Heart icon on to right side of the form.
  6. Finally click the Add app bar.

Manual

  1. Select the Manual option to add the app which does not exist in the mobile.
  2. Fill up the form with the required details.
  3. When you add the URL, remember the format should be http://weblink
  4. Tick the box for fort3ss to provide the first layer authentication when accessing the app outside the Fort3ss.
  5. If the use of the app is frequent, don't forget to mark it as favourite by clicking on the Heart icon on to right side of the form.
  6. Finally click the Add app bar.

Case 2

For editing the exiting app.- follow the below steps

  1. From the main menu select the App option.
  2. From the list of existing apps. long press the app. need to be edited.
  3. Select the Manage option.
  4. To get the edit mode, click the top right edit icon.
  5. Make required changes.
  6. And update.

Case 3

For deleting the app.- follow the steps below

  1. From the main menu select the App option.
  2. From the list of existing apps. long press the app. needs to be deleted.
  3. Select the Delete option and here you go..

16. What are the ways to search the app, in case added lot of apps and listing is too large?

There are 2 ways to search your app quickly

First...

  1. Open the existing app listin your profile.
  2. Clicking the search icon from the 3 option on the top.
  3. Either type the app name or by pressing the mic icon speak the app name.

Second...

If you wish to add any app on your dashboard for quick access, always add the app in your favourite list by selecting the heart icon at the time of adding new app to your list.

17. What should be the URL pattern to add any app?

When you add the URL, remember the format should be http://weblink

18. What all are the ways to reach at APP section.

The app section can be reached either by going through menu list from the Dashboard given on the left side of the screen

Or

Through shortcut method by selecting the 1st icon amongst the four icons on the bottom navigation panel.

19. Maximum how many apps. can I register with Fort3ss?

There is no limit to the number of app you can add to your Fortr3ss account.

20. Can I delete the registered apps.?

Yes. The registered apps can anytime be deleted from the app list of your Fortr3ss account.

21. Can I sort the applications as I want, for my convenience?

Yes, the sorting of the app list can be done by 3 formats,

  1. Alphabetically, which is also a default setting.
  2. Type.
  3. Date Modified.

22. Only the downloaded applications on mobile be accessed through Fort3ss or I can add other applications too?

Yes, other apps. can also be added into your Fortr3ss account by adding them through their weblink.

23. How to add/Edit/Delete payment details, elaborate in details?

Case 1

For adding a new Payment detail, please follow the below steps

  1. Go to the Payment option from the Menu.
  2. Click the Green 'plus icon' given at the below right corner.
  3. Select the type of Payment options eg. Bank, Credit Card or Paypal.
  4. Fill up the form with the required field for.. Bank- Bank Name, Country, Account Holder Name, Routing Number & Account Number. Credit Card- Bank Name, Credit Card Number, Card Holder Name, Expiration Date, Security Code, Country Code, Phone Number & Zip Code. Paypal- Account Holder Name, Login ID, Password, App & Website URL
  5. Click the heart icon on the top right corner if your wish to save the ID as favourite.
  6. And finally click the Add bar at the end of the form.

Case 2

For editing the Payment options do as below

  1. From the main menu select the Payment option
  2. From the list of existing Payment options long press the option need to be edited.
  3. Select the Manage option.
  4. To get the edit mode, click the top right edit icon.
  5. Make required changes.
  6. And update.

Case 3

For deleting any Payment Option

  1. From the main menu select the Payment
  2. From the list of existing Payment options long press the ID needs to be deleted.
  3. Select the Delete option to remove it from the list.

24. What all are the ways to reach at Payment section.

The Payment section can be reached either by going through menu list from the Dashboard given on the left side of the screen

Or

Through shortcut method by selecting the 2nd icon amongst the four icons at the bottom of the dashboard screen.

25. Maximum how many number of bank details can be added?

There is no limit to the number of banks you can add to your Fortr3ss account.

26. Can we also add debit card details apart from the credit cards?

Yes, you can add the details of your debit cards as well under credit card option.

27. Can we save the images of our cards?

Yes, for your ref. you can click the picture of your card and add it to your card details.

28. What if I wish to Save/Edit/Delete Ids, elaborate in details?

Case 1

For saving a new ID, please follow the below steps

  1. Go to the ID option from the Menu.
  2. Click the Green 'plus icon' given at the below right corner.
  3. Select the type of ID. Eg. Driving License, passport etc.
  4. Fill up the form with the required details.
  5. Click the heart icon on the top right corner if your wish to save the ID as favourite.
  6. And finally click the Add bar at the end of the form.

Case 2

For editing the ID please

  1. From the main menu select the IDs option
  2. From the list of existing IDs long press the ID need to be edited.
  3. Select the Manage option.
  4. To get the edit mode, click the top right edit icon.
  5. Make required changes.
  6. And update.

Case 3

For deleting the ID

  1. From the main menu select the IDoption
  2. From the list of existing IDs. long press the ID needs to be deleted.
  3. Select the Delete option and the ID get removed from the list.

29. What all are the ways to reach the ID section.

The ID section can be reached either by going through menu list from the Dashboard given on the left side of the screen.

Or

Through shortcut method by selecting the 3rdiconamongst the four icons at the bottom of the dashboard screen.

30. What kind of IDs can I save?

An ID can be of any kind, be it a passport, a driving license, an SSN or others like your office ID, a club membership card etc.

31. What is the use of the Notes?

The notes have multiple uses, like, you can write a short blog or you can create a MOM or can also create a shopping check list or even can use it as a reminder.

32. How do we categorize the Notes?

There is no default category list. You can freely generate your own category list.

33. Can I edit or delete my Notes?

Yes, the notes can be edited or deleted whenever you wish.

34. What all are the ways to reach at Notes section?

The Notes section can be reached either by going through menu list from the Dashboard given on the left side of the screen

Or

Through shortcut method by selecting the last icon amongst the four icons at the bottom of the dashboard screen.

35. What is password generator?

Password generator suggests you few unique passwords when you need help or have no idea of what your password shouldbe like.

36. What if, I wish to reset my Voice signature?

At any point of time you wish to reset your Voice Password, please follow the below steps

  1. Go to settings.
  2. Select 'Reset your voice Signature' and say yes to the pop up confirmation.
  3. It will ask you your Master password and share a 6 digit OTP on your registered email ID and Mobile no.
  4. Enter the OTP
  5. It will then take you through the reset process. Please follow the step by step process and directed and save a new voice.

37. What if, I don't wish to login through Voice authentication every time I use the app.?

In case you don't wish to log in using Voice authentication, you must off the Auto lock option. It directlytakes you to your dashboard.

38. What if, I want to reset my Master password?

The master password can be reset by

  1. Go to the setting
  2. Select 'reset your master password'
  3. Enter and reconfirm the new password.
  4. The applications will shut down and you will have to login again.
  5. A 6 digit OTP is sent on your registered Email ID and Mobile no., please enter the same to log in.

39. What if, I want to disconnect using Fort3ss but still want to keep the app for future use?

If you wish to disconnect and want to keep the app to reuse in future, you can simply go to option 'Remove device' in the settings. Though this, app will still be there on your mobile.

40. If any time I reconnect with Fort3ss after disconnecting my device, will I be able to retrieve the old data?

Yes, your data can be retrieved. For the But you must register the device and enrol the voice again.

41. What if, I forget my patter lock?

Suppose you forget your pattern lock there shall be 2 possible scenarios

Online option - if you forget the pattern lock in an online mode, you may login through the Master password.

Offline option - but if you forget the pattern lock in an offline mode then there is no option to log in to your account.

42. How do I reset my Pattern lock?

Pattern lock can be reset by selecting the 'Reset Pattern' in the settings.

43. Is it mandatory to use Patter lock?

If you are using the app in an online mode then, it is not mandatory to use pattern lock. However, it is always good to have extra precaution. So, we suggest to use pattern lock. but If you are using the app in the offline mode with auto lock on,then it is mandatory.

44. What if, I want to see the previous activities?

All your previous activities are saved in 'History' in the setting menu.

45. How can I manage the auto lock timer?

The auto lock timer is easy to manage. Select the of auto lock timer like,

  1. 10 mins.
  2. 30 mins.
  3. 1 hour.
  4. 1 day.
  5. 1 week.

from the dropdown options in the 'auto lock timer' under Setting menu.

46. What is allow screenshots?

Disabled 'allow screenshot' will not allow you to take a screen shot. However, if you wish to take a screenshot, you are requested to activate the screenshot option.

47. What is the purpose of clear clipboard?

Clear clipboard clears the data from the memory in case you have previously copied any data such as a password or account no. of any other confidential information.

48. How can I check the list of devices i am using for my one fortr3ss Account?

The devise details from where the app is accessed can be viewed from the 'Show connected devices' in the settings.

49. How do I invite my friends to use Fort3ss?

From the 'Invite a friend' option in the setting you can invite others to use the app. and take advantage of the new Technology.

50. How do I reach the user support?

Send us a feedback or any query from 'Send us feedback' under settings and we will get back to you with a solution to your query.

51. What is Sharing Center?

This is the section where you can view the APPS/Ids/Payments/Notes details which you have shared with your near n dears.

From here you can share the multiple APPS/Ids/Payments/Notes with a person by click on SHARE icon bottom right corner with green color.

Here you can see the complete list of shared details along with the Name, Email/Mobile Number when you will click on any APPS/Ids/Payments/Notes.

52. How to share the apps/ID/Payment Details/ Notes with anyone?

There are 2 ways to share the details with anyone.

  1. Single Sharing through main sections (APPS/Ids/Payments/Notes) Let's take the scenario for APPS, you will reach in app section → Long press on any app → click on Share → Scroll box will come from bottom → provide the email ID/ Mobile number in provided format → give permission for Read Only/Full Access (By Default the check box will be selected with read only option) → Share the APP.
  2. Single/Multiple Sharing through inside of Sharing Center. Let's take the scenario for APPS, You will reach in APP section of Sharing center → click on share button in bottom left → you will have all the added apps → select & give permission → select multiple apps with same scenario → provide the email ID/ Mobile number in provided format → Share the APP

53. How to share multiple apps/ID/Payment Details/ Notes in one time?

Let's take the scenario for APPS, You will reach in APP section of Sharing center → click on share button in bottom left → you will have all the added apps → select & give permission → select multiple apps with same scenario → provide the email ID/ Mobile number in provided format → Share the APP

54. Whether any user can share the apps/ID/Payment Details/ Notes further which i shared with him/her?

NO, Share chaining is not allowed.

55. What if, i want to share the apps/ID/Payment Details/ Notes with a person who is not registered Fortr3ss User?

You can share the details to any person whether he/she is registered with Fortr3ss or not. He will get the link on his/her email/mobile number to install the application. As soon as he/she will be done with registration, will get the data has been share with them.

56. How to revoke the permission from the User with which I shared the data.

You can any time revoke your data that has been shared with anyone though sharing center where you are having complete list of shared data.

Click on the data which you wants to revoke from any user → get listing of all the users with whom you shared that → click on X icon → give confirmation → Done (Now user will not be able to access this revoked data)

You can also change the access permissions for user.

Click on the data for which you wants to change the permission for any user → get listing of all the users with whom you shared that → click on KEY icon → app will ask for "Read Only" or "Full Access" → selected one is in blue color → change the permission → Done

57. What happens, if I have different devices (Android/iOS), will my data be synced across devices?

YES, data will get sync with all the devices you are using for same credentials.
